Contribution in the projecting phase
Including discussion of physical shape, choice of technical solutions, plant dimensioning in fields as semi-extensive larval breeding, intensive larval breeding and juvenile fish breeding.
Production planning
Consultancy for production planning i.e. choice of product (species and age), production method, size etc.
Management of aquaculture
Consultancy for layout of the daily work. Practical help with arrangements for fish sickness control and production enhancing work routines including health improvement, planning of feeding procedures, hygiene assets, security/alarm systems, vaccination programs, packing and transport.
Production control
Participation in control of plant construction, support with daily procedures and can be called if problems arise. Control with the function of the plant including sampling for analyses. Analyse of water quality/toxic substances (toxic algae, salts i.e. ammonium, nitrite, sulphuric acid, heavy metals etc.). Control of sensors, filter efficiency incl. UV-filters, health check, feeding/growth etc.
Production
Practical functions (biological field work, lab functions incl. microscopic identification and frequency determinations of plankton used for pray for the fish larvae.
Contact establishment
Contact establisment to other companies, institutions etc.
Marine surveys of ichthyoplankton, medusae and mesozooplankton
Including scoping, field work, lab work, reporting, cross-field conclusions and effect evaluation.
Fish eggs and fish larvae
Microscopic analyses of samples (determination of species, amounts, bio-volume, carbon determinations and data treatment. The determination of species is performed as a combination of microscopic analysis and gelelectroforetic analysis where the analysis of fish eggs and fish larvae is compared with tissue samples from adult fish.
Medusae
Microscopic analysis of small medusae and the ephyra-stadies of large medusae including species determinations, quantifying, bio-volume determinations, carbon estimates and data treatments.
Mesozooplankton
Investigation of various kinds of holo- and merozooplankton (copepods, rotifers, larvae of bivalves, polychaets etc.) being the main prey organisms for fish larvae.
